NHS hats are in demand as supplies are running short and distribution of disposalable ones hampered by demand.

These are relatively easy to make, although the bouffant one a bit more fiddly when pinning.  The directions below covers making the bouffant hat, the flat hat follows the same procedure but dose not require the pleat folds.  It is made in two parts so that the hat is more comfortable to wear and is reversible.  

Place the long band piece onto the head piece and pin, creating a tie tail as shown. Place a pin where the stitching needs to finish to allow the tail to be free from the head piece.   Align the two fold points and pleat pin until the material is taken up equally on either side and within the head band. Stitch.  Repeat with second pieces.
