Located in the centre of the village, the versatile facilities at Stoke St Michael War Memorial Hall can be hired for Parties, Receptions, Performances, Community Events, Classes, Meetings and Exhibitions. The Hall has a well-equipped kitchen and licenced bar to cater for your needs.
Our recent refurbishments include the creation of a large accessible restroom facility with hydraulic changing station which is suitable for all ages. Ideal for changing young children and adults.
The Hall is used regularly by a number of different village organisations and is managed by its own committee. The Hall is registered as a charity (Charity No 304640).
The Hall was built by the residents of the village as its memorial to the fallen in World War 1. The concept was born in March 1919 from which four years of fund raising took place and many activities were organised in the village. Eventually in 1923 the hall was built and opened for use.
Now it is used by the co0mmunity of Stoke St Michael and its surrounding villages. We are open on a Tuesday from 12pm – 4pm as a warm hub for tea and coffee, a chat. At 2pm the crafty ladies get into action and provide activities for everyone to have a go at. No experience necessary just a have a go attitude and a sense of humour.
